I go to the beach in the off-season because it’s the perfect time and place for a writer to write. However, I still like to explore and enjoy being a tourist as well. While spending a winter weekend working on my book at Carolina Beach, North Carolina, I was directed to Pop’s Diner by a local. Pop’s is a delightful, old-time diner and proved to be the perfect spot for lunch.

I totally agree the beach during the off-season is a great place for writing! Sounds like you had a good chance to try out this place without the crowds. I’ll have to check it out the next time I’m at Carolina Beach.
Thanks Liz, I did enjoy my time at Pop’s. It’s comfortable, casual, and hearty 🙂
