Arrowhead Inn
A total of nine guest rooms.
Built in the 18th-Century, the home and land belonged to the Lipscomb family and remained in the family through the early 20th-Century. Today, owners, Phil and Gloria Teber, welcome visitors to this lovingly re-purposed property treating them to the ultimate bed and breakfast experience.
There’s a total of nine guest rooms. Each impeccably decorated in keeping with the time period of the home’s original construction. Seven rooms are in the manor house. Additionally, there are a charming cottage and rustic log cabin on the property. Steam showers, a fireplace in every room, air jet tubs, mini-refrigerators, comfortable beds, electric car charging stations are just a few of the touches that make staying at the Arrowhead Inn a luxurious treat.
Only a short drive from downtown Durham
“It’s our food that sets us apart. Phil is a gourmet chef.”
As I toured the inn taking in the superb accommodations and its outstanding features, I was curious how the owner, Gloria Teber, would respond when I asked, ‘What sets the Arrowhead Inn apart from others?’ Without hesitation, she replied, “It’s our food that sets us apart. Phil is a gourmet chef.”
Sumptuous breakfasts and three evening meals each week are expertly prepared using the freshest local ingredients to assure dining at Arrowhead Inn is a gastronomic delight. I had the good fortune of sampling one of the chef’s delectable pastries. Let’s just say, it left me wanting more.
